Have details of Robert de Hamby dating 1086 Domesday, in Lincolnshire some of his descendants moved to Dallinghoo Suffolk in about 1600's Thomas Hamby is one of these descendants but as yet the connection is not known. He was married to Abigail KEER UNKNOWN in ?.

131. Abigail KEER⁽¹⁾ was born in 1756. She died on 1 Jun 1839 in Ellough , Suffolk. She has reference number M195. Children were:

ii. Elizabeth HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 21 Mar 1780. Christened 4th May 1780 Rendham Indep church unknwn if she married but there is a will for a Eliz Hamby of Rendham 1842 spinster it could be this one. (117 Cant/ler)
iii. Abigail HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 21 Dec 1781. Christened 6th Jan 1792 Rendham Ind church. not known what happened to her.
iv. Thomas Keer HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 26 Sep 1784 in Rendham Suffolk. He died on 2 Jan 1866 in Brixton. SUFFOLK-D Digest V01 #86

DEATHS
On the 2nd January, at Brixton,Commander Thomas HAMBY, R.N., in the 82nd
year of his age. Thomas Keer Hamby was a Royal Navy Commander who lived in Kennington.
He was christened on 13th March 1785 at Rendham Independent church and buried at Ellough on the 9th January 1866. It is unknown whether he married or not.
v. William HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 2 Aug 1786 in Rendham Suffolk. He died on 8 Mar 1873 in Beccles , Suffolk. William was mentioned in William Sayer's will and was buried at Worlingham churchyard with his wife, sister and brother-in-law.
Kelly's directory 1869 mentions him living at St Georges Place, London Road, Beccles.
vi. Ann HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 27 Jun 1790 in Beccles , Suffolk. She died in 1876 in Beccles , Suffolk. Will for Ann Hamby spinster R146/495. Census for Beccles 1871 gives her as unmarried living on Balygate Street. Christened on 3/8/1791 at Independent church Beccles
vii. Sarah HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 19 Mar 1792 in Beccles , Suffolk. She died on 3 Oct 1855 in Ellough , Suffolk. Buried at Ellough seen her grave
viii. Maria HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 6 Jun 1793.
ix. Martha HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 13 Sep 1794.
x. Matilda HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 30 Sep 1794 in Beccles , Suffolk. She died on 24 May 1884 in Beccles , Suffolk. Kelly's directory 1865 throu to 1869 gives Matilda Barker as living in London Road.
xi. Edward HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 22 Sep 1796. He died on 18 Apr 1798 in Ellough , Suffolk. Edward was buried at Ellough church. His burial took place on 21st April. Burial note from the register as follows -1798 April 21st Edward age 18 months son of Thomas and Abigail Hundby late ACAN spinster and infant.
xii. Mary HAMBY⁽¹⁾ was born on 29 Sep 1798 in Ellough , Suffolk. She died on 11 May 1824 in Beccles , Suffolk. Christened at Beccles Independent Church on 17th October 1798 who died 11th May 1824 age 25 years.

He was born 29Mar 1788 in Ellough , Suffolk. He was a Farmer in Ellough , Suffolk,UK. Christened 29th March 1788 Ind Church Beccles. Left a will ref R133/379 farmer from Ellough.
